you're disadvantaging yourself if you eat plants/vegetables only. you absolutely need sources of protein in your diet and very few plants if not none provide that. why the forget do you think our ancestors started eating and cooking meat?

This.
From what I know, for modern humans, it's just not feasible to live on a Herbivore only diet without strict planning because plant's just can't provide ALL the nutrients required for survival for a healthy living.

Until you can invent a plant that provides exactly the same stuff as meat, don't even bother with this unless you want to keep a cow as a pet and let chickens roam free across the plains

That's definitely a problem but it's not a reason to stop eating meat. If you get morally outraged because you see a thing of bacon at the store
a) Stay home and let your parents do it
b) Get your own animals to eat
