Yes, but the fact Nintendo is releasing a cheaper alternative to the new 3DS is also a sign the switch is taking off.
This happens for almost every new system that has a competitor on the market from the same company.
Sony did it with the PSone release after the ps2 came out.
Nintendo did it themselves with the Wii Mini after the Wii U launch.
It's just the way these things go.
Also I think Nintendo might be trying to make up for the Nintendo Switch shortage...
but if they're doing that, they really are handicapped.
But tbh the New 2DS Xl doesn't look that bad, not gonna buy it, but it looks decent.
