For example, I was a student at a private school for 3 years and had to stop going because they were expecting an influx of 100+ students of several grades and didn't have enough teachers(who were already only being paid the minimum they could really take, most lived nearby and were either doing it as a retirement gig or because they loved it) nor space(they were renting space from a nearby church) to deal with it on top of the fact they were already kind of floating on donation drives to help the school continue their programs(they were interconnected with a lot of charities and had a system where every last friday of the month they would go out and participate in several community service programs to help kids' college resumes), so their only option was to raise tuition to $16K/semester(i think? it was a while ago but it was around there) to help pay for it all. I honestly want to believe that he's not that bad a guy and that he's just unintentionally making horrible decisions but this is making it really hard to hold onto that belief |
