Is islam a religion of peace?

You're assuming all religions are fundamentally peaceful. Islam certainly is not.

Previous rules tend to be done away with in the New Covenant unless reiterated in that covenant. In other words, the New Dispensation generally does away with previous Mosaic rules because those rules were given to a specific group of people, and new rules need to be stated. If you knew anything about Christianity or the bible you would know this.
