How the hell is atheism a violent belief system? It doesn't have a collective doctrine other than an absence of belief in god(s).

He's referring to the Communist dictatorships of the 20th century that slaughtered millions of people. Most of which enforced athiesm onto their people.

The only parallel is that their communist ideology was atheistic. It can't be compared to the millions killed in the name of x religion.
