I can see why, if you were trying to maintain a dictatorship, you would be against organised religion. Organised anything is a threat to your absolute power. What I think is silly is saying this somehow represents atheism as an ideology. |

Many dictators like Riddler or Stalin hated religion because they saw it as taking focus away from the state. Riddler had a plan to destroy the Vatican but that would've required him to invade Italy. Stalin believed similar but also used atheism as an outlet to show state power |
