I found this article about why pandas are important. The web page states that Pandas help the environment "by spreading seeds and helping the vegetation to grow." Also, "The panda’s habitat is also important for the livelihoods of local communities, who use it for food, income, fuel for cooking and heating, and medicine. And for people across the country."

Yes I do actually as I have been medically trained to recognize one, and you certainly fit the profile right now.
