Ad-hominem is an attack in place of argument--I soundly refuted you, and then insulted you for personal relief. That's just an insult. I think it's psychological--they think listing argumentative fallacies makes them appear intelligent, ironically not realizing that that in itself is one of the fallacies they are so repulsed by. |
