Purple has magic connotations. Chugging purple is getting the mind in the set to use magic. I've heard eating small fae can grant magic powers but I'm not insane enough to actively go after the fair folk.

I wanted to combine mine with a potion of minor restoration, but I couldn't get anything but minor explosions.
