The movie released the same time Epic, Turbo, and Monster's University were released, so not much competition.

its an intentionally inflammatory and half dismissive comment. a much less inflammatory way to express your opinion is that "the alternate ending sucks too," and that's not even in an entirely neutral/polite way.
