websites that spread conspiracy theories sell their books and generate a ton of revenue off of ads when they find something stupid to bitch about. i imagine in some alternate universe, the 9/11 attacks were all done by well placed bombs, and several conspiracy theorists would make claims like "9/11 was done by planes! there is no bomb shrapnel anywhere!"
honestly i could make an entire website dedicated to convincing people that the sky is blue and i'd make a killing off of it.
