Right ear ringing after shooting shotgun

The ringing is caused by when the tips of the sound-detecting hairs in your ear break off and don't rebuild themselves. Sometimes this is the first time you damage them, sometimes it's after like 10 years.

If you keep firing guns without ear protection, you'll probably get it eventually.

Just got back from the range. Fired 500 3.5" 12 gauge shells with my hearing aid on max and a bunch of broken glass between the stock and my shoulder. Didn't even hurt. The only ringing I hear is of the liberty bell. Get on my level.
