I was helping some friends maintain that blue bird next to lord helix, too bad we couldnt fix the yellow spots in time.

That'd be hard to defend. One pixel changed and it doesn't work anymore.

Not exactly, some QR codes can be made to where if a portion is messed up it'll still be scan-able.
However the larger the QR code becomes, the more territory you'd have to defend.

I had a lovely little homebrew script to draw the .exe icon for MechWarrior 2 in a given spot, but still lacked the time or manpower to get anything made. Woke up at 8 AM for work this morning to find a complaint from someone who's art got in the way of my automation.
