I think he got accepted on the merit of his activism more than the lame copy + paste job he did on the application. Doesn't excuse the application itself though. This is the guy's website so clearly he's got a lot going for him despite not knowing how to fill out an app properly. |

That's clearly not the only reason he was accepted. He's also: -founded an international organization with hundreds of members -has received stuffloads of awards for his activism -founded a youth consulting firm -worked for the o'malley presidential campaign -was personally commended by the POTUS for his activism -worked as an intern at the state department -completed over 600 hours of community service over his high school career -probably got a near-perfect or perfect score on his SAT This guy has accomplished more in high school than lots people who have graduated from Stanford. He would have been accepted, probably on a presidential scholarship, even if he was a white male Christian from a millionaire family. In fact, this is bar-none the most impressive high school resume I have ever seen. |
