--- Quote from: beachbum111111 on April 09, 2017, 11:38:17 PM ---Why should I be responsible for other peoples forgetups? Why should I fund people who will never benefit me or society as a whole? --- End quote --- Poor people pay taxes. they buy food from businesses. They spend money at stores. In order for you to contribute nothing to society, you'd have to not eat, drink, buy any goods from anyone, and just exist by yourself. --- Quote from: beachbum111111 on April 09, 2017, 11:38:17 PM ---Except other people actually benefit the economy and pay for their own loving resources. They don't drag everyone else in society down with them. --- End quote --- You don't pay for all of your resources either. You're bringing society down a little bit and your criteria for 'who is bringing society down more' is probably just as handicapped as you. The reason you're alive is because everyone pays a little bit of money for you whether you like it or not. You're saying 'why should i have to contribute to society' in one paragraph and then in another saying 'people who dont contribute to society should cease to exist' |

also, living conditions for people who try to earn money beyond welfare are worse because they earn less money than what the government was giving them because we allow corporations to exploit the working class its literally smarter to stay on welfare than to work a minimum wage job because america refuses to implement reform |

--- Quote from: SeventhSandwich on April 09, 2017, 11:39:08 PM ---School spending at large scales doesn't correlate because the signal is lost due to bureaucratic waste. But obviously a school that is terribly underfunded will do stufftier than a well-funded school on the basis that n-dollars has to be taken out of teachers and school programs at some point. You don't lose teachers and enrichment programs without hurting student achievement. Cutting the bureaucratic waste is fine, but cuts across the board hurt people. Mostly the poor. --- End quote --- Good thing I never mentioned cutting anything. Just that we shouldn't be pumping people full of money because they shat out 3 kids. --- Quote from: PhantOS on April 09, 2017, 11:40:23 PM ---Poor people pay taxes. they buy food from businesses. It's like cutting off your leg to eat it for nutrients. --- Quote from: PhantOS on April 09, 2017, 11:40:23 PM ---You don't pay for all of your resources either. They could have aborted me but they chose not to. You can choose whether or not you want to donate to the poor if you want. Don't force me or anyone else to. --- Quote from: Poliwhirl on April 09, 2017, 11:44:46 PM ---also, living conditions for people who try to earn money beyond welfare are worse because they earn less money than what the government was giving them because we allow corporations to exploit the working class its literally smarter to stay on welfare than to work a minimum wage job because america refuses to implement reform --- End quote --- This is a good case for removing welfare altogether. Raising minimum wage fixes nothing Bernout |
