business owner might but a huuuuge majority of them fail within the first few years so it isnt even worth considering as a career path

Depending on how good your videogames are, they can provide a living. Even independent.
A decent mom and pop shop business can make a living.
A store manager at walmart earns about 250,000 or more a year.

where are you getting this data from? glassdoor.com is showing 150k as the "above average" salary, and most likely that data is coming from people with a lot of experience and a degree
