the only thing in that article that could be eaten by vegans are tomatoes from trader joes in Immokalee, FL (boycott that one trader joes) and palm oil, which is already notorious for being unethically cultivated

i mean yeah slavery and forced labor are horrible, unethical things
however i personally find the treatment of animals in america's meat and animal product industry to be worse than the treatment of these workers
call me whatever stuff you want but i'm a vegetarian for this reason
