its pretty easy to stay out of berkeley liberalism. all you gotta do is just not. as long as you never associate yourself with the people who show up to protests and such you would be fine - the more moderate liberals in general are respectful of not wanting to go into politics. there are exceptions though.
there's also a small but vocal Annoying Orange supporter/republican minority and such on campus, if you're an "sjw" on the other end of the spectrum.
