It practically became night, i didnt even see the loving moon pass anywhere near the sun.

Im comvinced i didnt get an eclipse at all, and it was just a stray cloud.

did the cloud happen to look like a rock and was the same size and distance away as our moon

I dont know what to tell you man. I was in the 60 - 70% zone and as you can see it was still very bright out and the sun never stopped casting shadows. It only darkened the slightest amount, about as much as a cloud covering the sun during a regular day.

gif i made with the pics i took

Drydess:

i was around 80% and it just got kind of a civil twilight dark and temperature then after a good half hour it went back to normal

during the total eclipse, it was like a darkness you'd see at like 7 to 8 ish at night. Like it wasn't like a full night dark.

I will say though that the entire horizon looked like there was a sunset (since there's sun shining literally around you)

The process of it getting dark (before the total eclipse) did not feel like the transition from day to night. It was like someone literally just put a dimmer switch on the sun, or an even dumber way to put it, like someone was messing with the environment settings to make it darker and mid way through setting it there was this unnatural darkness that did not fit with the rest of the environment. Like the sky and atmosphere was dark but there was still a sun in the sky blaring down on you. Weirdly enough that's exactly what i thought in my head when it was going down. it felt so artificial. definitely weird but it was next to the coolest thing closest to the actual total eclipse happening.
