If it has find my iPod enabled on it, you'll have to remove it from your old iCloud account first to be able to use it. To hard reset it: you'll want to enter Recovery Mode, and download the latest SIGNED firmware for your device. http://ipsw.me is great for this. Go into iTunes, and click restore. Select your IPSW file, and wait for it to finish restoring, and you'll have a clean phone. You CANNOT set it up without removing it from your old iCloud account, however, due to Find my iPod and etc. |

--- Quote from: Willco2 on April 14, 2017, 02:30:39 AM ---I didnt want to make the title obnoxiously long, but how do I clear an iPod Touch with an old iCloud ID on it? I've tried restoring from iTunes but it still asks me for the iCloud ID/password and I can't get past setup due to it. --- End quote --- If you're just trying to remove iCloud, go to http://iCloud.com and login with the one you set it up with. Go to Find my iPhone, scroll down to your device, click it, and press Remove/Delete/whatever. This will remove it from your iCloud account, allowing you to restore/set it up as new. If you can't remove it from your iCloud account, then you're forgeted. |
