A conflict between two sovereign nations, the legitimacy of both of which was recognized on the international stage, and a bunch of nu-males throwing m80s and beating people in the street while dressed in their finest Urban Outfitters black jeans are two entirely different things.
The Continental Army was a legitimate military entity formed through the Continental Congress. The entire American revolution was fought around the practice of the unfair and discriminatory treatment the Colonists received at the hands of the British crown (unjust taxation, unwarranted seizure of property, no ability to represent their interests in Parliament, being forbidden from exercising some of the rights and privileges of British citizens despite being under the jurisdiction of the British empire)
The assertion that the Founding Fathers and the Continental Army were terrorists is just absurd and unfounded. The United States was recognized as a legitimate nation and the only reason they had to resort to violence in that circumstance is because the British crown would continue its tyrannical abuses of authority and refused to come to any sort of compromise, instead resorting to less than effective measures to attempt to squash any rebellion before it happened (Coercive Acts, stationing of Regulars in private homes, seizure of property of dissenters, etc)
The colonists had a valid casus belli in that the British Crown abused its authority and denied their rights both as Englishmen and as human beings.

The left at the time unanimously voted for secession and against attempts to free the slaves and to give rights to the Freedmen.
Robert E. Lee and the Confederacy as a whole was the left.

You label them a terrorist organization then they will just change their name and keep on doing what they do. Why not try and understand where the problem is coming from instead of just putting labels on everyone? Violence is wrong but Antifa sure as hell isnt the only group being violent out there.
