Opening steam in-game causes major lag

Hi- Whenever I open my steam in game browsing thing, (shift+tab) I usually get a lag spike for around 10-15 seconds. Does anyone know if this is a common issue and if theres a fix? Thanks

Happens to me from time to time. Everybody on my server lags too.

i thought i was the only problem with that so i disabled steam overlay and set blockland to borderless fullscreen instead to alt tab
