We should only keep the monuments up if the soldiers have diapers around them. That's the grand compromise, imo

who cares how many people live or died under the flags? They're both symbols that people choose to side with, and therefore removing both of them is wrong. Of course one is a worse offense than the other, considering the history, but it doesn't loving matter

I personally dont agree with historical monuments being torn down or moved, but it hurts to see the same people be in almost full support of it when its a flag they dont agree with, and then flip flop and write an angry rant about how 'its history! It needs to stag! You're all liberal snowflakes!'

correct, but not all things are equal
like I said, there's a huge difference between removing historic monuments and some idiot's flag that he made for an art project

I understand if you're upset at shia's flag being stolen but holy forget have some perspective

If you really think the Confederacy means stuff anymore you're an idiot rube

obviously there's a difference of magnitude between shia's flag and the confederates' flag, given that people have bled for one. However, the magnitude of the outcome is the same. Both should stay put, as they are either historical or intellectual/private property

You can't just be so hypocritical and inconsistent to cherry pick or justify which flags deserve removal or which flags deserve to stay. That's just prone to biased abuse from either people on the left or the right. The proper approach is to leave them both the forget alone
