I don't really know about anything at the $2500 price range, but you should see if any of the business offerings are appealing to you. I also suggest taking a look at the Surface Book, but I don't know if you'll like it. Actually the capacity isn't that great, so unless you're sold on the extra features I wouldn't go with the surface book for your needs. |

But I get EPP pricing on all apple products, so I'm probably just going to tripleboot macOS, windows and arch |

MacBooks and Surface / Microsoft books are loaded with nonfree software, locked-down hardware, and more than probable spyware included with the software. If you really can't stand the thickness try one of these: https://system76.com/laptops Be forewarned, these contain Intel chips (see: Intel Management Engine) and contain Ubuntu preloaded. |

that budget would probably get you a good alienware laptop + graphics amplifier + GPU but since you already have a desktop then probably wouldn't need it |
