I see the male and female genders as a spectrum with everything in between being either more masculine or more feminine; and that everything in between being the so called "60+ genders". But I still see it as only male and female being the 2 genders.
Are there any articles or anything you can provide that could possibly help me understand the dynamics of 60+ genders?

You can't scientifically prove the number of genders because it's a social construct, it'd be like saying you scientifically proved the word "too" doesn't exist. The number of genders falls onto opinion.
