Children shows back in the 90s were better
ThatDarkNinja778:
Censorship in shows has always been a persistent thing in general on varying degrees, it's just that certain shows opted to push boundaries further, but not too far. That said it's pretty easy to cherrypick examples and make the 90's seem to have less censorship or censorship free.

Because the topic has to do with censorship in shows?
Tactical Nuke:
y'all keep talking about "ooh the 90s" meanwhile early 2000s a show about a funny, sweet, little, purple dog meant for kids showcases ancient Egyptian locust swarms that kill people, lethal scientific experimentation on Lovecraftian cosmic beings and real ACTUAL domestic violence

id say 2006-2014 was the golden age of recent tv, stuff like spongebob was damn good while doctor who, burn notice, and walking dead were making their marks
on the other hand, netflix and amazon originals have been the stuff recently
Katamari007:
I prefer animated shows in the early 00s overall.
I'd say my favorite animated show of all time is Mission Hill, it feel it was ahead of its time
