Windows defende is stuff but actually isnt annoying --- End quote --- mb isn't really a antivirus program, it's generally good practice to have antivirus software and mb installed. mb is good at filling in the holes for antivirus programs and detecting new malware. common sense can't stop everything, trusted vendors can be compromised and you could unknowingly download a corrupted file or be redirected to a malicious site. ot: nortons p stuff. i don't know how good windows defender actually is, but it's not as annoying as norton. kaespersky isn't bad and pretty low resource, bit defender, and most your mainstream av programs are p effective (avg, avast) although might be a little intrusive with upgrade messages and all that |

windows defender (windows 8 and above) is pretty much microsoft's newer microsoft security essentials, which from what i've seen is a decent, average anti-virus. however, assuming you're talking about that ransomware that's been hyped up and fearmongered when you talk about the 'current virus going around', if you installed the latest impotrant updates on either windows 7/8/8.1/10, you should be okay. |
