what if instead of just bans, there were also gags (don't take it seriously)

a gag prevents a user from being able to post or send PMs at all. they are essentially unable to communicate anything. this is basically what a ban is now.

i think a ban is just refraining from logging in to/interacting with your account, not gagging.
