there's a robin nest on my backyard porch's light

theres a robin nest on my backyard porch light
everytime i go outside the damn bird flies out of the nest and dive bombs me
any tips?
i know, go through the front door, but we don't have a fence in our front yard so we have to let the dogs out back.
