I dunno having Jesus v1 is cool but Jesus v2 could possibly make it even cooler or ruin it, it's more of a gamble and depends who does it.

The original is always better than the sequels.

otto-san:

religion tends to be highly tradition-oriented so it makes sense that people would resist changes, but it happens all the time. i mean, i'm pretty sure a lot of christian denominations have conferences or councils where they vote on changes to their doctrine or methods or other stuff like that, and there is certainly a rich history of religions suddenly being cut in half or severely fractured because of major cultural movements. when push comes to shove, religion changes whether people want it to or not, because cultures change, and people adapt their belief systems to accommodate those changes.

Nonnel:

since religions are created to explain the unexplainable, it would make sense to update certain parts when new information comes to light.
