There's certainly a lower expectation of credibility in the right-wing. There's undeniably a few left-wing rags, but they aren't nearly as mainstream or popular as right-wing sources such as cnn, Breitbart, or Fox News, which have all entered the mainstream and publish genuinely fabricated stories. The closest on the left-wing is Huffington Post.
