So to start things off I'm not sure if this dream was lucid or not. Im not sure if my dreams were switching back and forth or if the lucid dream was inside of a regular dream. Allow me to explain the dreams first. The dreams aren't really crazy or special or anything I just found it weird and was wondering if this has happened to any of you. I RARELY have lucid dreams or regular dreams for that matter, so this really threw me off.
So the dream starts off with me in some type of large luxury hotel or casino (I live in Vegas and I remember the lobby area being really grand so it was probably a casino) I only ever remember the lobby and me somehow ending up in a room with a friend of mine. We talk about our day and lives and stuff and end up going to bed. Now here's where everything gets confusing. I'm not sure if the dream switched to another dream, or if I fell asleep and had this second dream inside the dream.
Whatever happened, this second dream was what I believe to be the lucid one. I remember I was in a huge room, either the same lobby area as the first dream or some really huge ass ballroom. I was walking around like everything was normal and at some point I decided to walk into the bathroom. Now if you're familiar with LD, you know that you can tell if you're dreaming by looking in a mirror whilst in the dream. So I did exactly that; I looked in the mirror and at first I was looking good and normal but then things started getting crazy, not scary or anything, just weird; kind of like those silly distorted mirrors you see at a festival or something. I kind of just stood there looking and then it hit me. I said to myself in the mirror, "This is a dream." I instantly got like this weird butterflies in the gut feeling but I calmed myself down by kind of pacing myself around the bathroom. I then got like super happy and hyped, walked out of the bathroom, looked around and walked to the middle of the lobby area while thinking of this EDM song. As I walk, the EDM song slowly goes from that "tune in your head" to actually like playing in the background clear as day as if there was a high quality speaker in the lobby. Im excited at this point to finally have a lucid dream where I can kind of control things, and so I stand there in the middle of the lobby and dramatically wait for the drop in the song, as the drop comes I jump up and start flying around the lobby. At first, everyone was looking at me like wtf? and I was getting anxiety so I just made it so everyone minded their own business and I flew around the lobby for the rest of the song. After the song ended I kind of just landed and that's all I remember from that dream.
At that point, the dreams switch BACK or I " wake up " in the first dream and the other person who I was sharing the hotel room with said good morning. I told the person that I just had a lucid dream and some other insignificant stuff happened afterwards and that was it. I wake up in real life at 2 AM and couldnt go back to sleep for like an hour because I was staying up trying to decipher what the forget I just dreamt.
