Bad ARG with a lot of good work put in. Wish it had better writers. |

Kinda giving off both IB and Paper Mario vibes. EDIT: They have a loving REDDIT! https://www.reddit.com/r/Petscop/ |

The ARG is pretty much solved. It's a reference to Cadence Newmaker. Cadence Newmaker was killed during a 'rebirthing session'. Get your mind out of the gutter, it's not what it sounds like. The idea was that you compress blankets all around a child so they can re-experience the feeling of being born. It's supposed to help foster children connect better with their new parents, like in Cadence's case. It didn't work. The 'quitter's room' is a reference to the fact that the people holding her down barked "Quitter, quitter, quitter, quitter, quit, quit, quit, quit! She's a quitter!". Cadence died of suffocation while bound in blankets. The people who killed her didn't even get life sentences. Several are currently on parole. Here's a transcript of the session. It's a little heavy. Personally, I don't think smashing your audience over the head with the hints is a good way to run an ARG. The instant people figure the mystery out, the instant people lose interest. Like I said, fantastic amounts of work put in, terribly written story. |
