Children have no comprehension of taste. They have an extremely undeveloped sense of "this is hurting me" which will make them cry or otherwise act out to display their discomfort, but they don't have properly matured senses to understand the difference between indifference and bad.
This is the same reason a lot of kids "enjoy" the LEGO video games post LSW1, or Adam Sandler films.
