Time out error?

I have installed the game twice now, and fully updated it. I join the official server, and finish loading it. Then I sit at the loading screen for 15 minutes, and then finally, get a time out error.

What should I do? I really want to play AoT...

 echo(getCompileTimeString());

 into the console (press ~ to open the console)  and tell me what it says.

no, that's the correct value.  It's still possible that a patch didnt install right.  Try running dopatch.bat (the game should start after a bit).  If that doesn't work, you might have to re-download the game.

I don't get time out errors anymore. But I still can't join. This may help, its some information from the console log. I did re-install it too, as well as re-install all the updates by resetting it to version 6.

Right now a bunch of us are getting time out errors. Is the server down?

Yea... I keep getting a timeout error too...  I can re-install it and it will work the first time, but then I just keep getting timeout.  My internet connection is fine, I ran getCompileTime and I got Oct 29 2005 at 17:45:24.  I'll do a fresh install again but this is becomming a pain.

theres some kind of bug causing the server to freeze.  might be an infinite loop somewhere :/
