for a while, chromium lacked APNG support for some reason, and considering the vast majority of users are using chrome rn, that meant the format has seen very little success in widespread adoption. but now that chrome is supporting it, you might start seein it around more

this probably something most people don't really care about, but as a strong advocate of the idea that APNG is amazing and vastly superior to animated GIFs, i'm very happy to see this
