Combat test starts now.
NIGHTMAREMusicYou and the gang have been tasked with getting a load of drugs off of a group of Serpente for Tweaker Dan. The meetup is in the in the old Pearl Beach district Amusement Park that sunk in to Liuhuang Bay off of St. Carmichael. The ground is dry, the buildings are ruined, but you understand that this amusement park was once sunk to the bottom of Liuhuang Bay along with the rest of the Pearl Beach district. You think nothing more of it. The street is lines with shops that stood at the front half of the amusement park. In front of you are concrete barriers that block the road. Lining the sidewalks are very large ceramic plant pots.
There is a war going on, and it gives you an uncomfortable feeling but that is all you know about it. Its a gray late afternoon, Salus rises in the background behind you, dark and eerily quiet but no one seems to think anything more of it.
You are currently standing around Elena's car. On the other side of the barriers is a white van and two Serpente thugs. There is the Skinhead, who looks like he did a god awful job of shaving his head or got sunburned because his head looks like its peeling. How disgusting. He is quiet lanky and his arms show collapsed veins. He has a gun hanging obviously out of the front of his waistband. The other is a short, immensely overweight man, the Gasbag. There are grease stains on his white shirt that you understand to be from Calzone Abode. Gasbag has a Heavy Pistol in his pocket and a wrapper in the other.
Down the road past the concrete barriers is a T-shaped intersection and a partially collapsed building. You think you have to walk to drugs down there and deeper into the park to get back to Tweaker Dan Price. You understand the Serpente don't quite like Dan so that's why you have to get the drugs. Don't get stuck up.
Objective: Get the drugs from the Serpente Thugs, which they have sold to you. Complete the transaction. Take them to Dan Price. Don't get stuck up. You can approach getting the drugs however you want.
DH 2E Combat BasicsYour turn is divided in to two half-turns. Your actions can take a half or a full turn. A list of actions has been pinned in The Hideout in Discord. For ease of reading, at the end of your post please list the one or two actions you take that are specifically from the list.
Rate of Fire profiles on your weapons denote how many shots you take making a certain attack with your ballistic weapon. Attacking with a single shot is more accurate but only one round can land no matter how many degrees of success in a Ballistic Skill test you have. If you attack with a full auto burst, you can land up to the number of rounds listed in the final position of the profile [EX: (S/3/
10)] but your shots are less accurate.
The ROF profile can be read as (Single Shot)/(Semi-Auto Burst)/(Automatic Burst). If there is not a number in one of the positions, the weapon is incapable of that kind of fire. EX: (S/-/6) means a weapon is incapable of semi-automatic fire burst fire.
Cover acts like armor, high power weapons can pierce weak cover.
Cover objects can be located on the stuffty Combat Map™ as objects the ground color below. If you have questions ask and shoot some suggestions on how to make cover more visible.
Fate points allow you to marginally change the outcome of rolls. They are rare and do not regenerate under certain circumstances to my knowledge. Here you can use them and they will be refilled at the end of the encounter. In canon situations, any fate points lost are gone unless you manage to earn one back.
