"oh, terrorists are TOTALLY solely relying on the internet and terrorism will completely stop if we regulate it, let's forget over the public by defeating encryption and privacy altogether!!!1!". without any sort of encryption, stuff will go down, and it will all be this stuffty person's fault. oh, and guess what, she wants to block code repositories like github and sourceforge (source: http://boingboing.net/2017/06/04/theresa-may-king-canute.html), see how that will forget over many, many people right away. /discuss |

this will never happen. people have proposed stripping encryption away before and it's never happened. usually officials start talking to experts and they realize how absolutely stupid they are |
