almost all ethanol products on the market are denatured. denatured ethanol is ethanol that's been contaminated with trace chemicals rendering it unfit for consumption- perhaps it's too disgusting, but usually it's also outright toxic. the reason these hard-to-remove chemicals are added? consumable alcohol gets alcohol tax. |
