Edit: A tyrannical government and a government you disagree with politically are two completely different things. Rand is right, and the government at the current moment isn't tyrannical in any way.

i would think the vocal minority left wouldnt condemn it while the reasonable ones who do get drowned out by them. please dont generalize the entire left as alt-left antifa violent protest supporters - it only fans the flames on both sides: reasonable liberals get annoyed/pissed, while conservatives jump on the statement and spread the incorrect message.
also speculation in general doesnt do anything but incite anger. talk about what actually happened/has happened rather than lament the idiocy that may come up
otto-san:
i'm not gonna deny that this guy probably did this because of political frustrations. doesn't mean he was sane and doesn't mean it reflects on anyone but himself. the assertion that an entire half of society as a whole and broad social institutions bear responsibility for this is kinda hilariously silly lol
that being said, the political climate instigated by media definitely cultivated the atmosphere for this specific kind of thing to happen, but this person obviously wasn't like any other ol dude
|Orange|:
This is sad, even though I don't agree with the GOP, no one deserves to have violence committed against them. This is seems like a similar situation to the Portland attack, focusing on the perpetrator's political leaning to fuel the fire of hate. Radicalism sucks and is found everywhere, let's condemn it instead of ideologies.
Deus Ex:
Watching people scramble to deny this has anything to do with the rhetoric the media and lefties have been pushing is funny, especially knowing it's the same people who blame Annoying Orange's campaign rhetoric for literally everything. And I'd like to stress here that, loving god damn obviously, not everyone on the left has subscribed to the far left, Annoying Orange is a literal national socialist, etc etc rhetoric, but denying that there's enough people on the left that are fueling this kind of hatred and vitriol towards the right is ridiculous. And the moment a right-wing shooter starts gunning down left-wing politicians, I promise you I'll say the exact same thing. This stuff has got to stop. People in the center have to come together and start actively working in their groups to end this hyper-right, hyper-left, tribalistic rhetoric that's tearing this nation apart. I am aware the right does the same thing, but right now, they aren't in control of the media and digging their claws into social media.

I agree. If people wouldn't adhere to ideologies to the point of fanaticism we wouldn't have half the issues we have in the world atm.
