I love spending 20 hours at work fixing Google's garbage open source library that selectively decides when it wants to compile or link properly. But really, having to do that sucks but being able to do it is great too. Have been bitten by arbitrary untraceable bugs in proprietary closed source software before. The toolchains for various embedded platforms are particularly bad, and good loving luck if you ever need to touch anything Xilinx shat out. |
