why are linux users the most friendy* loving pieces of stuff on the planet?

Rally:
I took a Linux course in my first year of college to fast-track my knowledge on how it works so I could hit the ground running when I got into units that forced me to use it, and after like a month of classes the most evident thing I learned about Linux is that you're really just spending a massive amount of time doing incredibly simple tasks because "windoewz is for teh scrubz xDD 1337". I remember asking my tutor why x feature was so complicated and I think his actual response was something like "because clicking icons is lame"

As someone who studies and works in IT, as my father before me does and his father before him did, I really don't understand the "muh linux" mindset in the IT industry. Because if you actually have a certain amount of things you need to get done on a computer in a certain amount of time, Linux is like the worst loving option. It's like everyone's just bitter they got turned down for a job at Microsoft or something.

I need that 1fps boost in my matrix parsing
SUSHI:
What's even worse are those linux elitists who gloat about how much better emacs or vim are compared to everything else.
pefu19:
ummmmmmmmmmmmm did you mean GNU/Linux? i think you meant GNU/Linux, because Linux is merely a part of it.
