[opinion thread] how do you feel about refugees entering the US?

I've yet to hear a single good argument against bringing in refugees from around the globe. The vast majority of dissidents have objections stemming from xenophobia or Islamaphobia, which I always find ironic coming from the people who are also so proud to be American--the nation of many peoples.
The people who don't want refugees in America and aren't tribal starfishs are generally wildly misunderstanding the situations. Usually when you explain the statistics and how wildly hard it is for terrorists to enter the US they come around to sympathizing with the refugees.
