Obviously, nobody wants to import terrorists, but I feel that there's some kind of moral responsibility to help people in need. I've read people bring up only accepting families, and that sounds like a good solution to me.

The thing about restricting it to families  is that the refugees who wish to enter the US usually have to wait a minimum of 1-2 years, often inside a refugee camp. If I'm a terrorist pledging my soul to CIA, I'm gonna go kill some journalists or get some cash and go shoot up a school in Europe. I'm not gonna starve in a camp for 3 years waiting for the mere chance to enter the United States. If I'm an orphaned 16 year old boy or a terrified 19 year old girl, why should I be rejected because I'm not with a family? No Refugee in the United States has ever carried out a terrorist attack since 1980--and before that, they were Cuban refugees with Communist ties. There is zero evidence to suggest any serious threat in the refugee population, and the only people who can claim there to be one after seeing the facts are just naturally xenophobic.

i believe the us should offer refugee camps that offer food and water until the the orange in chief can figure out how to properly allow refugees in a fashion that isn't blatant racial profiling

Red Spy:

i think you shouldn't move a bunch of people from the 3rd world to the 1st world without expecting some type of culture clash. syria has no history of any type of western values so expecting the people from that type of culture to adjust automatically to a better one isn't going to happen. it's why you get refuges self segregating. they aren't even trying to adjust. there are tons of muslim countries that would be a perfect fit but for these people but instead we get politicians saying "well we banned jews during wwii so we need to take them ;((("

Kobewarrior:

we send them to germany
