like fully exited out? like with the whole "are you sure you want to exit skype" thing along with that weird shutdown sound it has or did u just click the x

Just clicked the X.
Oddly it isn't using any CPU and only memory for some reason, even though I have not done anything with it. It's been running for a long time, even before I used skype for the first time on this computer.

I don't see any reason for it. It should have an option to let it run in the background but in stasis (aka not using any memory or cpu until needed), or to stop it giving useless notifications like that.

or just quit skype correctly that would work too

when you click the x i believe it just goes to your system tray next to the clock which is likely so you still get notified from friends and stuff while not using too many resources or whatever, you gotta right click that and click quit skype to fully exit it or if you still have it open i believe you can right click it in the taskbar and be able to quit skype from there too
