These guys went months at a time wondering if they would be next as they watched someone they've become friends with get their head blown to bits. --- End quote --- and lgbt people watched as HIV/AIDS killed their friends and families under the reagan administration. both are horrific i just dont see a point in splitting hairs about which is worse or why one being worse makes this disrespectful. this image isn't comparing the suffering of soldiers and LGBT - its comparing their victories (its main statement is that LGBT people have won in their battle for rights) perhaps if some parallel between soldiers suffering in trenches and lgbt people was being made i'd see the point yall are making. but the original image is triumphant not painful |
