do you think pigs are pets?

i was having this debate between some of my friends. i believe that anything is a pet if you could truly domesticate it. however, i don't think pigs are pets.

we've domesticated pigs, therefor, they are pets, at least from your own reasoning. I think they're either pets or cattle, dependent on which you're keeping them for.

no such thing as a micropig. they just named it at the size it's currently at. it'll probably grow into a full sized hog unless it's malnourished as forget

I feel like a pet depends on how you're treating it
if you're just raising it as food, then it's more like livestock and not a pet
if you're raising it for the sake of having it around, then it's more like a pet
