The only things I put ice in are water, and drinks that are intended to be diluted by the ice (like certain roostertails, or iced coffee which I make by adding very strongly brewed hot coffee to ice)
If I want cold soda or something, I'll chill the can/bottle ahead of time. Possibly even serve in a frosted glass.
