Daily reminder that marx practically bankrupted himself by being a loving idiot and then got butthurt about it.

"Pharmaceutical industry experts estimate that the medicine and its auto-injector, for which Mylan charges roughly $300 a pop, cost around $30 to produce."

Keep in mind, for a moment, that the $30 figure comes from the raw material suppliers overcharging in order to make a profit. It's a vicious cycle. An ouroboros, even. The pursuit of profit and commoditization leads inevitably to the oppression of the consumers.

I guess that makes all the famines directly caused by communism worth it

Mao and Stalin were dictators. While Stalin, for example, did create an economic miracle, rapidly industrializing and transforming Russia into an economic superpower, his interests laid not with the people. As dictators tend to do, he reaped the benefits of his economic miracle for himself and his elites exclusively, leaving his people in conditions hardly better than they were under the monarchy.

Sounds an awful lot like capitalism, if you think about it.
