you finish your bagel, which strangely reminded you of some complex geometry the tv was showing the other night, and sit in your car, waiting out the shift. the bank opens, the shops open, tom wakes up and goes in and gets a bagel, and suddenly you get a call on your police scanner saying that a bank robbery is in progress and that all available police units head to the scene.
its the bank down the street, no less. tom's still inside the bagel shop and you haven't heard any gunshots or anything.
